The California Highway Patrol's Dublin area office has put out a call for assistance to the public in the wake of a high-speed pursuit on freeway I-580 yesterday.
According to a social media post from CHP Dublin, a black Chevrolet Camaro was clocked traveling at speeds over 100 mph, prompting an officer to give chase. The high-speed incident occurred westbound on I-580 before 8:30 AM, just west of the I-680 interchange.
The CHP has released a description of the evasive vehicle, stating the license plate was black, with yellow or white writing. During the pursuit, the driver managed to conceal or "black out" the vehicle's plate, making it more difficult for authorities to track. "At approximately 8:20am this morning, 12/31/25, this black Chevrolet Camaro evaded one of our officers," the CHP Dublin statement read, and urged anyone with information to come forward to help locate the vehicle. It is rare for the license plates of a speeding vehicle to become obscured during a pursuit.
