Details have emerged regarding a vehicle crash involving Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, raising questions about his actions in the lead-up to a season-ending injury. According to a Covington police report, the crash occurred on Nov. 15 around 3:21 a.m. on the 400 block of Scott Street, and the vehicle linked to the incident is registered to Taylor-Britt. Local12 reported that the player pleaded guilty to a separate reckless driving incident and was serving a jail sentence just days before this report's release.
The crash, captured by neighborhood security camera footage, depicted a black Jeep running a red light and colliding with a parked car, causing it to overturn. While the driver of the Jeep initially fled the scene, he later returned. Among the notable details reported by FOX19, both Taylor-Britt and the driver, identified as Jafabian Booker, presented differing accounts of the crash's cause, with distractions ranging from a dropped cell phone to a woman in the passenger seat being blamed.
No injuries were reported, and no charges have been filed, but the incident took a turn the day after the crash, when Taylor-Britt played against the Pittsburgh Steelers and suffered a season-ending foot injury. The crash report, as noted by Local12, lists Taylor-Britt as a backseat passenger, challenging earlier claims and stirring confusion among officers as to who was actually behind the wheel.
Prior to this incident, Taylor-Britt had multiple run-ins with traffic violations, including being cited in June and September of 2025 for charges ranging from reckless driving to street racing, according to information from The Enquirer. These prior incidents culminated in a guilty plea last Tuesday, Jan. 6, where Taylor-Britt faced a Hamilton County judge on charges including driving with a restricted license. During the court proceedings, his attorney assured the judge of Taylor-Britt's intentions to abstain from driving for the foreseeable future, having had their client rely on others for transportation for several months.
