
The Board of Clermont County Commissioners has set the stage for 2026 with its recent reorganization meeting, establishing the new leadership and meeting schedule for the year. On January 5, the board conducted its annual reorganization proceedings, Bonnie Batchler was voted as president, David Painter stepped in as vice president, and Claire Corcoran continued her role as a board member.
According to a release from the Clermont County official website, regular session meetings have been charted out for the year, with the majority set to take place on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m., the dates include January 7, 14, 21, and 28 among others, also, a selection of eight sessions are programmed on Mondays, the first one was on January 12 and additional ones will unfold throughout the year, notably on February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, and concluding with three meetings in November on the 2nd, 9th, and 30th.
The reorganized board reflects a streamlined continuity for Clermont County as it navigates the complexities of governance in the coming year. With a clear schedule spanning the full stretch of 2026, county residents can mark their calendars for the planned sessions, which are crucial for local governance and citizen engagement. No sessions are planned for the weeks of Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, providing commissioners and residents alike a reprieve during these nationally recognized holidays to focus on family and reflection.
