The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has put out the word that a stretch of Laclede County Route Z will be off-limits for part of the day, all week long. The section getting the work done is about a mile south of where Route Z meets Missouri Route 32. The good news for locals is driveways will remain accessible, but if you're just passing through, you'll need to plan to detour. And remember to mind all the usual traffic stuff: seat belts, no texting, slowing down near the work zone—you know the drill. MoDOT's kindly reminder to "work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones" hammers home the point.
