During a routine sweep for criminal activity, Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies made a notable arrest in Cupertino last week. A stolen Audi, originally taken from San Jose, was nabbed by officers after a license plate reader flagged the vehicle on S. De Anza Boulevard near Bollinger Road. The quick response by law enforcement led to an arrest and the discovery of several incriminating items within the vehicle.
The latest update on the case came straight from a social media post by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. The post detailed that deputies found multiple driver's licenses and credit cards, all belonging to various individuals. Included in the stash were also so-called burglary tools, and the driver was caught attempting to impersonate someone else with false identification.
Already on probation for identity theft, the driver was also found to be a repeat offender with two prior convictions for stolen vehicles. This latest arrest adds yet one more chapter to what appears to be a persistent disregard for the law. The suspect has since been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
