
Tragedy struck the heart of Ala Moana in Honolulu as two people, a man and a woman both in their 60s, were found dead in an apartment. According to a social media post from the Honolulu Police Department (Official Site), the grim discovery was made on January 5, 2026, shortly before 3:40 p.m., following a report of a deceased female at a residence on Ala Moana Boulevard.
The officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the presence of the two bodies, and medical examiners pronounced them deceased. A firearm was found at the scene. Subsequently, the preliminary investigation pointed to a fatal gunshot wound on the female victim. Honolulu Police Department emphasize that this incident poses "no indication of a threat to the public."
