The spirit of giving doesn't wane with the passing of December 25th in El Paso – as residents will discover at the Sylvia A. Carreon Community Center on January 6. According to a social media post by El Paso Parks and Recreation, a free toy giveaway event will happen on Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, a treat for families looking to extend their holiday cheer.
Youngsters up to age 10 are invited to partake in an evening of classic carnival games and a range of activities that promise to make for a memorable time. The event, as advertised on El Paso Parks and Recreation's Facebook page, will distribute toys on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
A tip of the hat goes to Operation Pioneer Rush, whose support has made the event possible, as they seek to spread a little more joy this winter season. The community effort by these organizations underscores a commitment to create inclusive, family-oriented experiences within El Paso's public spaces.
