The celebrations aren't winding down in El Paso. El Paso Parks and Recreation announced a post-holiday event bound to keep the merriment going for the little ones. Slated for Tuesday, January 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., families with children aged 10 and under are invited to a free Toy Giveaway at Rae Gilmore Recreation Center.
The holiday handout isn't just about the toys; it includes carnival games and myriad fun activities to engage the kids. The best part? It's entirely on the house. "The event is completely free and toys will be given on a first come, first served basis while supplies last," the El Paso Parks and Recreation post reads. The gesture of goodwill extends from the contributions of local sponsors, namely Operation Pioneer Rush, Mountain View Association, and You Eat I Eat.
It's a community effort that underscores the season of giving, stretching well into the New Year. The Rae Gilmore Recreation Center, located at 8501 Diana Drive, is prepped to be a hub of activity, infusing some additional cheer as the holiday lights begin to dim. City kids, get ready for an exciting day out courtesy of El Paso’s Municipal Government and its generous partners.
