An elderly gentleman and his faithful canine companion were met with a tragic end yesterday morning when a car struck them in Boston's Back Bay. The collision, which officials stated occurred around 8:09 a.m. near the crossroads of Commonwealth Avenue and Hereford Street, led to their untimely demise. As reported by Boston 25 News, the pair were promptly taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Following the incident, authorities were quick to fully notify the required parties and call upon the expertise of the Fatal Collision Investigation Team. In an effort to quickly apprehend the responsible party, the Boston Police broadcast a description of the suspect vehicle. The effort to find the perpetrator of this hit-and-run was unyielding, culminating in the location of the suspect's vehicle in Brookline. A 42-year-old individual, William Henry, has been charged with murder in relation to the incident, according to Boston Police.
Henry is set to face the beginning of his legal journey with an arraignment scheduled for tomorrow in Boston Municipal Court.
