
An elderly man was struck and killed by a car on Valley Street in Manchester, New Hampshire, authorities said. The accident occurred yesterday evening when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy collided with the pedestrian. According to NBC Boston, the Manchester Police Department responded to the scene near 917 Valley Street at around 6:18 p.m.
The victim, an 81-year-old man from Manchester, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Driving the Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on Valley Street, the teen driver, who was uninjured, hit the man just east of Cypress Street. The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of kin, and the teen's name has been withheld due to his age. As of now, it's unclear if charges will be brought in connection to the fatal incident.
