The City of Fall River Police Department reported via a social media post that Juan Ortiz, 33, was arrested in Rockland, Massachusetts, during the early hours of Wednesday. Ortiz was discovered hidden inside a closet, clad in distinct Cheetos-patterned pajama pants, when detectives, alongside the Massachusetts State Police, the United States Marshals Service, and the Rockland Police Department, executed a search on the premises.
According to the authorities, Ortiz's arrest is linked to an incident that took place on December 18 at the Iced Out Pub, where he is accused to have being involved in a shooting that resulted in multiple injuries. Ortiz has been charged with several counts, including three counts of Assault and Battery with a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Loaded, two counts of Assault and Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury, and Discharging a Firearm Within 500 Feet of a Building. The Fall River Police Department declared their detectives and officers to possess relentless tenacity, which they attribute to be key in being able to successfully conclude these serious criminal cases.
As of now, Juan Ortiz has been transported to the Fall River Police Department and is facing multiple charges. The department described the arrest as the result of the detective's persistent efforts.
