Anna Altobello, 33, a former secretary with the Echols County Sheriff’s Office, has been charged with multiple offenses related to her alleged misuse of confidential license plate information. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Altobello was arrested on eight counts of Misuse of License Plate Data, along with charges of Stalking, Stalking – Family Violence, and one count of Violation of Oath of Office.
The investigation into Altobello’s actions began after Echols County Sheriff Randy Courson requested a review of suspicions that she had accessed the department’s Flock Safety account for personal reasons. The review determined that Altobello had used her access to obtain tag information for individuals she personally knew. Additional charges may be forthcoming as further documents are examined. Authorities have booked Altobello into the Lowndes County Jail based on outstanding arrest warrants from Echols County, and the investigation remains active.
