Today, Athens movie fans can enjoy a free screening at the Morton Theatre. The theater will host "Movies by Moonlight" featuring the 2014 James Brown biopic Get On Up, according to Athens-Clarke County Unified Government.
Rated PG-13, Get On Up tells the story of the legendary soul singer. Doors open at 3:00 p.m., with free popcorn and bottled water available. Seating begins at 3:30 p.m., and the film will start at 4:00 p.m. No registration is required, and the event is free for all attendees.
