The rapidly expanding health tech industry in Arizona got a significant boost with the grand opening of Gifthealth's new digital pharmacy in Mesa. The state-of-the-art 43,000-square-foot facility was launched as Gifthealth looks to cement its presence in the Southwest. It's a strategic move that not only augments their national capabilities but also promises to deliver faster, more accurate medication distribution aided by the latest in robotics and digital technology.
In an effort to streamline the prescription journey for patients nationwide, the Mesa location is set to handle up to 28,000 medications daily with the help of robotic assisted processing. These high-tech operations are expected to create up to 200 new jobs, injecting a significant amount of employment into the local economy. As shared by MesaNow.org, Gifthealth's CEO, Chip Parkinson, expressed the company's commitment to providing a seamless experience for the millions depending on their services: "This grand opening is a pivotal moment in our mission to simplify and unify the entire patient prescription journey."
Collaborating with UPS, Gifthealth is implementing cutting-edge RFID scanning and twin packaging technologies for efficient delivery services. With the claim of reaching 88% of U.S. zip codes, reliability and traceability of shipments are seemingly thrust to the forefront of their operations. Gifthealth's approach merges speed and flexibility, focusing on ensuring patients adhere to their therapeutic regimens without undue hindrance.

The city's Mayor Mark Freeman noted the significance of integrating innovative tech in health care, stating, "Gifthealth's new pharmacy advances technology that improves efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes nationwide." Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Scott Somers highlighted the employment impact: "With up to 200 new jobs and state-of-the-art, robotics-assisted processing, this grand opening is another strong step toward our goal of attracting 100,000 high-wage, high-quality jobs to Mesa."
