The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation department has announced the opening, welcoming guests to lace up their skates and enjoy the chilly pleasures of outdoor ice skating.
Residents and visitors alike have the opportunity to skate free of cost, thanks to a limited stock of ice skates provided at no charge. But it's not just about skating—the Bayfront Warming House also offers board games and art supplies, creating a cozy retreat for those looking to unwind after their time on the ice. The rink, exclusively a pleasure rink, is not intended for hockey or other team sports, ensuring a relaxed and leisurely experience for casual skaters.
Open from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm, the ice rink caters to a spectrum of schedules. For those seeking the warmth of the indoors, the Bayfront Warming House will operate seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, perfect for families, date nights, or solo escapades onto the ice.
In addition to the pleasure rink, an area for recreational curling is available, offering a unique twist on traditional ice activities.
