Saint Charles, Missouri, residents can recycle their live Christmas trees after the holidays through a free program offered by Republic Services, according to a social media post from the city government. The service provides a convenient and environmentally friendly way to dispose of trees while supporting the city’s sustainability efforts.
Residents are advised to follow specific guidelines to ensure smooth recycling of their Christmas trees. Trees should be cleared of lights, ornaments, tinsel, and other decorations before being placed at the curb. Any tree taller than six feet should be cut in half, and trees should not be bagged.
“Thank you for helping us keep St. Charles clean and green as we start the new year,” the Saint Charles, Missouri, City Government stated in a Facebook post.
