
As Goodyear enters 2026, the latest issue of InFocus highlights the city’s growth, safety achievements, and upcoming initiatives.
According to the City of Goodyear press release, in 2025, Goodyear invested in public safety, including police and fire staffing, technology upgrades, and emergency response improvements. According to the 2025 National Community Survey, 95% of residents reported feeling secure in their neighborhoods. Business development also grew, with new arrivals such as Trader Joe’s and Buc-ee’s, which is expected to open this summer.
Goodyear is expanding recreational opportunities with a nearly three-mile trail connecting City Hall, GSQ – Goodyear’s Downtown, and Goodyear Ballpark. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
