A woman is in critical condition after a Wednesday afternoon shooting inside the Walker Homes public-housing complex, according to Memphis police. Officers responded to the 3500 block of Ashford Road at about 4:07 p.m., where they found her suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition while detectives secured the area, marked evidence, and began looking for anyone who might have seen what happened.
