A Hopkinton man is facing serious charges after a violent incident in Ashland led to a victim being airlifted for emergency medical treatment. The Ashland Police Department shared details via social media regarding the episode, which occurred last Friday afternoon, where officers and medical responders swiftly acted to provide aid.
Following multiple 911 calls concerning a medical emergency near Cost Cutters on Pond Street, law enforcement and Ashland Fire Department personnel promptly arrived at the scene. They found an individual suffering from grave injuries. The subsequent medical evaluation necessitated a MedFlight transport for advanced care due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
An ensuing investigation by the Ashland police led to the quick arrest of 23-year-old Jadaius Figueroa from Hopkinton. He stands accused of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, alongside a charge of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury. The Ashland Police Department's post stated that Figueroa's bail was set at $20,000 cash, pending his arraignment at Framingham District Court, scheduled for today.
