Members of the Irving Police Department were honored with various awards in the fourth quarter, celebrating their dedication and achievements in service. In a recent social media post, the department spotlighted the accolades of 27 employees who have contributed to the safety and well-being of the Irving, Texas community. The Irving Police Department expressed its gratitude for the hard work of its team, saying, "Please join us in congratulating our 4th Quarter Merit & Tenure Award recipients!"
The range of commendations included years of service, with 13 employees recognized for their commitment spanning between 5 and 30 years. Safe driving awards were presented to nine employees, also showcasing impressive records ranging from three decades. In the realm of more immediate heroism, two employees were honored with Lifesaving Bars for actions that surely were above and beyond. Additionally, one standout individual was awarded a Letter of Appreciation. The distinctions of Civilian and Officer of the Quarter were proudly bestowed upon two deserving members of the force.
