Motorists traveling westbound on US 61 (Airline Drive) in Jefferson Parish should expect traffic delays beginning Monday next week, as the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development begins paving work.
According to Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the right westbound lane will be partially closed between Maple Ridge Drive and North Labarre Road for concrete paving and related work. The project is scheduled to run from 7 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Friday next week, weather permitting.
Drivers are advised to plan for possible delays, consider alternate routes, and follow posted construction signs. Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development also urges motorists to remain alert for construction workers and equipment in the area.
The department will provide updates as needed throughout the project.
