Property owners in Johnson City must submit their 2025 property tax payments by February 28. Payments sent by mail are accepted if postmarked on or before that date. Payments received after February 28 will accrue penalties and interest starting March 1, according to the City of Johnson City.
The Johnson City Municipal and Safety Building, located at 601 E. Main St., is open for in-person property tax payments weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online payments are also available through the city’s website and include an additional fee. Mailed payments should be addressed to: City of Johnson City, P.O. Box 2227, Johnson City, TN 37605.
Homeowners are encouraged to complete their payments before the deadline to avoid these additional costs.
