A 50 percent chance of showers rolls in by Wednesday night, as clouds gather and temperatures hover around 36 degrees.
The back-and-forth dance between sun and showers continues into Thursday, with a 30 percent chance of showers, particularly before the afternoon. Temps remain in the low fifties, offering a brief reprieve before a more significant weather system approaches. Toward the weekend, the weather takes a turn as chances of wintry precipitation increase. Friday may bring a mix of snow and rain showers, while Saturday sees snow likely, and an 80 percent probability by night, some of which could be heavy, as per the National Weather Service. The start of next week, however, looks to clear up with mostly sunny conditions and highs around 32.
A hazardous weather outlook has also been released, warning of below-zero wind chills in higher elevations tonight into Tuesday morning. "A storm system will approach the region by this weekend," the National Weather Service Morristown TN cautions, adding, "As cold air moves into the region, there will be chances for impactful wintry precipitation for portions of the region. There is significant uncertainty in the track and intensity of this system, so please continue to follow the latest forecast updates throughout the week." Spotters are advised that no activation is needed at present.
