Early yesterday, the Lafayette Police Department reported a DUI incident downtown. According to a social media post from the department, officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a vacant building at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd and Moraga Rd. The incident occurred shortly after midnight, compelling police action in the otherwise silent avenues of Lafayette's night.
Upon their arrival, Lafayette PD officers made contact with the driver, who was soon apprehended for driving under the influence, the social media post explained.
