In a statement released by the City of Lawton, the push for revamping stems from the dire state of the original constructions which, having succumbed to weather and wear, no longer serve their purpose effectively, the city aims to prioritize safety and reliability with these necessary upgrades.
The initiative, aligning with the City’s so-called True North Culture which, according to their narrative, is a philosophy grounded in fostering a secure atmosphere for both employees and pool-goers, every pump house won’t just see a facelift but a full-fledged reconstruction. Although important to highlight, the filtration systems which are paramount to the crystalline condition of the wading waters will not undergo changes during this cycle of improvement, as reported by the City of Lawton.
Selecting a contractor wasn't taken lightly, Barn Brothers swam to the top, snagging the job based on their blending of cost-effectiveness and expertise. This was confirmed by the City of Lawton officials who combed through multiple bids before crowning the company as the most fitting alliance for the project.
The off-season has been pinpointed as the ideal time to undertake these restorations, the city intends for its aquatic amenities to be in tip-top shape and splash-ready for the families and residents come the 2026 season, as part of a broader strategy to maintain and elevate the Recreation and Aquatics facilities across the city.
