Lincoln City drivers should plan alternate routes as U.S. 101 access at NW 14th Street will close starting January 27 for up to two weeks. Detours on NW 14th Street will use NW Harbor Avenue and NW 17th Street, while U.S. 101 travelers can detour via NW 12th Street, NW Harbor Avenue, and NW 14th Street, with business access and parking remaining open, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
In early February, work will shift to NE 14th Street with night-time single-lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., restricting westbound traffic to a signed detour via NE Oar Avenue and NE 17th Street. This east-side phase is also expected to last about two weeks, improving pedestrian safety with ADA-compliant ramps and push-button crossing systems, as reported by the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Construction in Lincoln City will mostly happen on weekdays, with some work on Friday nights. Lane and shoulder closures are expected, and flaggers will manage traffic. Drivers may hear loud concrete cutting. All signs and signals should be followed, and fines are doubled in Oregon work zones. More information and an interactive map of projects are available on the Oregon Department of Transportation website.
