A tragic incident occurred on a bustling roadway straddling the Hamilton/Warren county line, where a 23-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle. The accident, which took place on Fields Ertel Road in Symmes Township, claimed the life of Peyton Kaylor of Maineville, as confirmed by authorities.
According to WLWT, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident involving Kaylor at approximately 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday. Despite the swift response and immediate medical attention provided by the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department, which transported Kaylor to Bethesda North Hospital, the young man succumbed to his injuries not long after, at 4:47 p.m. However, at this stage of the investigation, neither excessive speed nor impairment is suspected factors in this heartbreaking event.
As details continue to emerge, FOX19 reports that the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and has been fully cooperative with law enforcement's inquiries. Kyla Woods, a sheriff’s spokesperson, stated via email, "The involved vehicle and its driver remained on scene at the crash and were fully cooperative in the crash investigation."
Additional information obtained by The Enquirer revealed that Kaylor was crossing the street but was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.
