A man was seriously injured after a fall during a confrontation at a Boston Bruins game at TD Garden yesterday. Boston police reported that officers were called to the scene around 3:07 p.m. following an altercation between two individuals. NBC10 Boston stated that the victim fell from the balcony level and was treated by Boston EMS before being taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or any potential charges against the person arrested. The reason for the altercation and whether the individuals were previously acquainted remain unknown. WCVB reports that a video of the incident appears to show a man in a blue shirt shoving another individual, which preceded the victim’s fall.
A spokesperson for TD Garden confirmed that the incident is under investigation by the Boston Police Department and stated that the venue is fully cooperating with authorities. “We are fully cooperating with authorities and have no further details to share at this time,” the spokesperson told WCVB.
The Boston Police Department has not released further details but stated that leadership is actively investigating the incident. TD Garden officials are expected to review security protocols to help prevent similar events in the future.
