On the evening of Tuesday, a man was shot on Jonesboro Road SE. Atlanta Police reported that a 29-year-old male arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was conscious and receiving medical attention when officers arrived around 9:01 PM.
The shooting is believed to have occurred near 2495 Jonesboro Road SE. The victim’s identity has not been released. Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit are investigating the scene and gathering evidence. "The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident initially occurred in the area of 2495 Jonesboro Road SE," the Atlanta Police Department statement said.
