Authorities in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, have intensified their manhunt for Shawn Prince, a suspect who evaded police during an attempt to serve an arrest warrant. According to WPXI, Latrobe police targeted a home on Spring Street around 6 p.m. yesterday to apprehend Prince.
Prince, considered a significant flight risk due to charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment, was seen fleeing the scene by a witness, who saw a man matching Prince's description. According to authorities, the police launched an extensive search, including the deployment of a drone with thermal imaging, but the suspect remains at large.
Latrobe police have cautioned the public against approaching Prince, who is described as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair, a beard, and last seen wearing a blue and black flannel shirt. Information leading to his whereabouts is sought eagerly by law enforcement, with an active investigation underway.
The manhunt for Prince is underpinned by his alleged involvement in past heinous crimes. In a chilling incident last October, Prince was reportedly charged with kidnapping a woman, his wife, and holding her at gunpoint in a wooded area. "Allegedly, the actor, Mr. Prince, had taken (her) from the house against her will," Scottdale Police Chief Michael Whipkey said in a statement obtained by WTAE. Following her escape and a brief reunion, the woman went missing again, eventually being found along with Prince in Kentucky. Online court records confirmed by WPXI indicate that Prince had been released on $25,000 bail via a professional bondsman.
The current whereabouts of Prince are unknown, and authorities stress that anyone with information should contact law enforcement immediately.
