The first crash, involving several vehicles, took place around 3 a.m. near Winchester Road and South Perkins, the specifics of which have yet to be disclosed by authorities although it remains unclear what led to the accident, and whether there were any injuries, the streets in the vicinity were blocked to facilitate an ongoing investigation, as reported by WREG and FOX13 Memphis.
In a separate incident occurring around midnight at Knight Arnold Road at Cherry Road, a Land Rover collided with a utility pole and a mailbox, creating further chaos and infrastructure damage in the community; the collision broke the pole in half, an escapee, believed to be the driver left the scene on foot before police arrived, as document by Action News 5, while this created a power outage that affected surrounding homes, officials have yet launch a search for the male driver suspected of causing the crash.
