Memphis police are searching for a suspect linked to a burglary spree at two antique shops on Summer Avenue last Wednesday. According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded to A Moment in Time Antique Mall at 5855 Summer Avenue on December 31 at 9:12 p.m. following a reported break-in.
The suspect, described as a male with a slouched posture and distinctive walk, attempted to break into A Moment in Time Antique Mall but was stopped by additional locked areas inside the store. Undeterred, he is believed to have then targeted Quantum Antiques at 5696 Summer Avenue, where he successfully forced entry.
As the antique district responds to the burglaries, community members are urged to provide any information that could help identify the suspect. The Memphis Police Department is asking anyone with knowledge of the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH. Authorities hope public tips will aid in solving the crimes and preventing future incidents targeting local businesses.
