
An incident of aggravated assault took place at Rooster’s Market on Perkins Road. The assault occurred yesterday, when two individuals, described as Hispanic males, expressed anger over the pricing of a Red Bull beverage. After leaving the establishment, it's alleged that one of the men discharged a firearm into the market before both suspects fled the scene on foot, as reported by the Memphis Police Department in a recent press release.
The altercation and subsequent shooting, which culminated in the menacing echo of a revolver's report at 2898 Perkins Road, prompted a response from local authorities. As per a statement obtained by the Memphis Police Department, "both male suspects left the store before one of the suspects shot into the store with a revolver". The suspects were last seen moving eastbound on Cottonwood, according to their account.
Law enforcement continues to investigate the situation and is currently seeking information from the public. Looking eastbound on foot after allegedly firing into the store, both suspects made their escape. The Memphis Police Department has not disclosed if there were any injuries as a result of the shooting or the extent of property damage incurred.
