A somber air pervades the community in Mesa after a tragic incident involving a golf cart claimed the life of a man and left a woman seriously injured last Friday afternoon. According to details reported by ABC15, police were called to the scene near Greenfield Road and Southern Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. where they discovered that a golf cart had been involved in a crash.
Upon their arrival, officers learned from a witness that the golf cart had to be physically removed from atop the man, after which a nurse on the scene initiated CPR, both the man and a woman associated with the golf cart were subsequently taken to the hospital; however, the man succumbed to his injuries while receiving care, details surrounding the crash at this time remain scant, but impairment has emerged as a suspected contributing factor to the fatal accident. The authorities are yet to release the identities of those involved as investigations continue.
