Motorists in St. Charles Parish are facing multiple road closures and detours due to ongoing construction and utility work. Hwy 628 (CC Road) is closed between the KCS railroad and Hwy 61 until March 13, for pile driving, with detours via Spillway Road or River Road for haul trucks, local industries, and Vickers Lane residents. Emergency vehicle access remains available at the PS #2 construction site.
According to St. Charles Parish website, Jonathan Street in Destrehan is closed, with emergency traffic rerouted via Bunge's heavy haul road to Noel Street. Ormond Center Court from 150 Reginelli’s to 3001 Ormond Blvd is also closed for road construction, with detours in place.
LA 3127 has intermittent lane closures from the St. James Parish Line to the St. Charles Parish Line for drainage work and asphalt overlay until October 30, from 6 AM to 6 PM. Utility work will also cause single lane and shoulder closures on LA 3127 and LA 3160 from December 6, 2025, to February 27, 2026, during weekdays and weekends. Motorists are advised to check the St. Charles Parish website for updates and plan alternate routes.
