Following the tragic shooting in Hamblen County, which took the lives of two teenagers and wounded two others, new developments have emerged regarding the individuals charged. Adam Perez Jr., 18, and Talan Trevathan, 19, are now facing additional legal repercussions, having been slapped with more charges, reported WVLT. Perez Jr. and Trevathan have each been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and 19 counts of reckless endangerment. Initiated by the events at an Airbnb during a crowded party, the incident has continued to unfold with Sheriff Chad Mullins confirming the latest charges on Thursday afternoon.

While the previous charges against Perez Jr. included second-degree murder, and Trevathan was charged with being a party to second-degree murder, their arraignment occurred last Tuesday. Taken into custody the morning of January 6, according to a WATE report, the shooting unfolded during the early hours of January 4 at a party attended by roughly 30 individuals from surrounding counties. Court records found controlled substances and alcoholic beverages were present at the party, which was mostly hosted by juveniles.

During a bond hearing on Friday morning, both suspects were assigned a $600,000 bond and, if posted, would be required to don ankle monitors, shared WBIR. The judge set their preliminary hearing for March 19. The tragic incident left Jayden Andrew Bullard, 16, of McMinn County, and Marsalous Tre-Dante Vestal, 19, of Morristown, deceased.

In connection to the incident, another individual is facing charges. Gracious Tyler Boruff of Sweetwater is accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Boruff allegedly rented the Airbnb where the shooting occurred and drove three minors to the party, including one involved in the shooting, as per WATE. The case continues to evolve as it marches toward the forthcoming preliminary hearing, drawing together a community to mourn and seek answers amidst tragedy.
