A New Orleans man was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash in St. Bernard Parish early Tuesday morning. The incident took place on Louisiana Highway 46 near Chalmette Avenue, as reported by WWLTV. The victim was identified as 51-year-old Antonio Verrett, who was operating a 2014 Honda CBR 1000RR.
According to Louisiana State Police, Verrett was traveling eastbound when he, for reasons still under investigation, lost control of his motorcycle. Despite wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet, Verrett sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
