The City of Norman, Oklahoma, has unveiled HazMatt, a sculpture made from recycled dumpsters and other waste materials. The sculpture was revealed during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Tuesday last week, according to a City of Norman's Facebook post.

Mayor Stephen Tyler Holman and City Manager Darrel Pyle spoke at the event, along with the artists Ken Hall Jr. and Derek Vosten. Michelle Loudenback, manager of the Department of Environmental Resilience and Sustainability, highlighted the connection between art and sustainable practices represented by the sculpture.

HazMatt is intended to demonstrate how everyday materials can be repurposed. The sculpture is now on display in Norman for residents and visitors to view.
