A Norwood man faces serious charges in connection with child pornography following an arrest by local police. The Norwood Police Department announced the apprehension of Kevin Cobb, 45, from his home on Nichols Street through a post on its official Facebook page. Cobb is charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of obscene material, with the investigation led by Detective Jennifer Hoyle of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The cyber tip that led to the investigation put Detective Hoyle at the center of a joint effort involving the ICAC Task Force and other law enforcement agencies. Together, they secured arrest and search warrants for Cobb’s residence and worked carefully to investigate the case. Protecting children remains a key priority for the Norwood Police Department, which says it will continue working closely with other agencies to combat the exploitation of minors.
