The streets of East Oakland witnessed another round of gun seizures this past week, as the Oakland Police Department's Crime Reduction Team (CRT) - East, made headway into curbing local armed violence. The CRT's operation, backed by the surveillance assistance from Ceasefire and OPD's helicopter, ARGUS, resulted in three arrests in the 1700 block of 89th Avenue on Monday, according to a social media post from Oakland Police Department.

In the course of the operation, law enforcement apprehended one adult and two juveniles. Found in their possession were loaded firearms, some stolen or lacking serial numbers, which included handguns with extended magazines, and one, equipped with a drum-style magazine.

While details on the identities of the arrested individuals and their charges have not been released, the police department reiterates the gravity of the offenses.
