Attorney General Gentner Drummond commented today on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board’s decision to deny clemency for convicted murderer Kendrick Simpson. Simpson was sentenced to death for the brutal 2006 drive-by murders of Glen Palmer and Anthony Jones in Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma Attorney's General Office.

Following the killings, Simpson threatened accomplices and attempted to arrange the murder of the sole surviving witness to silence him. Prior to the murders, he also committed an armed home-invasion robbery in which he shot a business owner execution-style.

“This ruthless and violent killer hunted and executed his victims without remorse,” Drummond said, as stated by the Oklahoma Attorney's General Office. He added that he commends the Pardon and Parole Board for rejecting clemency and stated the victims’ families will finally see justice when the death sentence is carried out on Feb. 12.
