The training covered essential skills such as MIG welding, oxygen acetylene torch operations, and plasma torch cutting, which are particularly useful when dealing with complex rescue scenarios that might involve railways, streetcars, or heavy industrial equipment. Oklahoma firefighters showcased their expertise by slicing through metal approximately 3/4 inch thick with a plasma cutter, a demonstration of both precision skill and the powerful tools at their disposal. "During this refresher, the plasma cutter made quick work of metal nearly 3/4 inch thick, highlighting the importance of both training and the right tools," the Facebook post read, emphasizing the importance of preparedness for specialized emergencies.
