Ongoing construction in Oklahoma City is causing lane closures and detours across the city. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) says these changes are part of infrastructure improvements and may cause delays.
Today, the right lane of the southbound I-235 off-ramp to N.E. 23rd St. will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. for light repairs by OG&E. Lanes on N.E. 23rd St./SH-66 between N. Lee Ave. and N. Harvey Ave. will remain narrowed into early next month.
Additional lane reductions are in place on I-44 at SH-152/Airport Rd., I-240 at I-35, I-44 ramps at N.W. 10th St., and Garth Brooks Blvd. under I-40 in Yukon. Douglas Blvd. at I-40 in Midwest City will also experience narrowed lanes through early 2026.
Other closures include single-lane restrictions at the SH-66/US-81 intersection in El Reno for a new roundabout and detours on SH-37/S.E. 4th St. in Moore due to a railroad bridge project until summer 2026.
