
On New Year’s Day, the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to two separate shootings in northeast and northwest Oklahoma City. According to OKC Fox, a drive-by shooting near NE 36th and Santa Fe at a 7-Eleven left one person shot in the back and another with minor injuries. The condition of the person shot in the back has not been released.
According to KOCO, In a separate incident, police responded to a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City on the 6200 block of West Wilshire Boulevard, where a man was shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled to a nearby apartment complex, and authorities have not released a description or motive.
Oklahoma City police have launched an investigation into two shootings that occurred on New Year’s Day, seeking to identify the suspects and determine motives. As reported by KFOR, in the first incident, bullet fragments struck a second person, who was treated on the scene and did not require hospitalization.
