These agencies are required to submit a detailed report with recommendations and timelines within 180 days to the Governor, the Senate President pro Tempore, and the House Speaker.
The governor’s executive order aligns with previous state legislation, including Senate Bill 658 of 2021 and Senate Bill 426 of 2024, which support healthcare self-determination. It also reflects Supreme Court rulings emphasizing patient autonomy in medical decisions. Additionally, the initiative is consistent with federal priorities during President Donald J.
