In a routine traffic stop turned drug bust, Folsom Police Department officers have arrested a man from Orangevale on multiple charges, including narcotics-related offenses. The incident, which occurred late in the evening on Tuesday, has brought to the forefront the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug-related crimes within the community.
It was just shy of the midnight hour when officers decided to quickly implement a traffic stop that would ultimately lead to the discovery of a substantial amount of illegal substances. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found what they suspected to be methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and marijuana. Folsom Police Department's social media post lauded the "professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to keeping our community safe" demonstrated by the patrol officers involved in the incident.
The driver, identified as Vincent Stegall of Orangevale, was taken into custody under the weight of the evidence found. His arrest wasn't only for the freshly discovered drugs but also for several outstanding warrants that mandated his apprehension. Stegall is now facing the consequences of his alleged actions, with the aggregate of charges landing him in the Sacramento County Jail.
