Drivers in Orleans Parish should expect lane and ramp closures on I-10 as the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) installs new guardrails. The work will take place nightly from Sunday through Thursday next week affecting both westbound and eastbound traffic, as per the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Westbound I-10 right lane closures from Bullard Ave. to WB Louisa St. will occur from 8 PM to 5 AM. Eastbound I-10 right lane closures from Louisa St. to Bullard Ave. will occur from 9:30 PM to 5 AM.
Full ramp closures are scheduled as follows: Morrison Rd on-ramps and off-ramps on Sunday and Monday next week, Chef Menteur Hwy and Crowder ramps on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Downman Road on Thursday next week. All closures are scheduled from 10 PM to 5 AM.
Drivers are advised to use caution, watch for work crews and equipment, and plan for possible delays during the guardrail installation.
