The incident, occurring shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, found the Moab Valley Fire Department at the scene alongside Grand County Emergency Medical Services, who assessed the truck's driver
Though the specifics of the crash remain unclear, the Moab Times notes that the highway stretch is known for its hazards, and the Moab Valley Fire Department confirms the absence of other vehicles' involvement; the driver, found outside the truck upon the first responders' arrival, fortunately avoided injury. The aftermath, as depicted by the emergency services depicted the vehicle on its side with onions scattered into the adjacent ditch, obstructing part of the roadway and contributing to the morning's traffic complications.
Cleanup efforts were swift, with fire units remaining in place for protection as the scattered onions were removed from the scene.
