A collision involving a police vehicle in North Versailles is under investigation after three individuals were injured yesterday afternoon. According to WPXI, the crash occurred near the intersection of Route 30 and 3rd Street, and an officer, alongside the driver and a child passenger of the other vehicle, was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
The Allegheny County Police Department disclosed that the police unit from North Versailles was en route to a medical emergency, using lights and sirens when the incident took place, another vehicle reportedly pulled out in front of them leading to the crash, the officer along with the driver and a child within the second vehicle were promptly attended by emergency services and the condition they were transported to the hospital in was said to be stable.
Witnesses and local authorities are piecing together the events as the Allegheny County Police Tip Line encourages anyone with knowledge of the crash to come forward with information by calling 1-833-ALL-TIPS, where callers have the option to remain anonymous, as reported by WTAE.
