A fire in East Price Hill left four people without a home yesterday evening, according to multiple reports. The Cincinnati Fire Department responded to an emergency call at 1034 Parkson Place around 6:54 p.m., as reported by FOX19. They were able to quickly bring under control a blaze that had started in the kitchen and moved to the second-floor walls.
Efforts to fight the fire were aggressive, with firefighters managing to knock down the flames in about 15 minutes. The quick response likely helped to prevent any injuries from occurring. However, four adults have been displaced due to the incident and are currently receiving assistance from the Red Cross, WLWT noted.
The damage inflicted upon the residence is estimated to be around $100,000. So far, the cause of the fire has not been determined, and it was reported by FOX19 that no fire detectors were present in the home at the time of the incident. This absence perhaps underscores a vital reminder of the importance of such devices in preventing potential tragedies.
While a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause, the impact on the residents is immediate and tangible. "Primary searches confirmed that all floors were clear," according to Local12, emphasizing the effectiveness of the Cincinnati Fire Department's strategy to ensure no one was trapped or injured during the blaze.
